Hi

Will the MyStrands player work well on a HTC Touch?

Since the HTC Touch runs windows mobile, it should work fine. It will not use the special Touch interface, but will work like a regular Windows Mobile app. Since we have not tried it on that platform, please let us know how it goes.

Windows Mobile Downloads

Make sure to download the PocketPC install.

Actually, it the HTC Touch is running Windows Mobile 6.0, so you need to go here :
Windows Mobile 6.0 Download

Once again, use the PocketPC install

I have downloaded the software for WM 6, but when I choose a song on my HTC Touch it comes up with an error and it can´t play the song.
Anyone else having the same problem?

Somehow I made it work now. Nice.

Does anyone know how much data MyStrads uses for sending the info about the songs I play to the MyStrands server?

Good to hear that you have it working on your HTC!

As for the amount of data used when playing a track, it depends on your preferences. If you go to the preferences page, you will see options for the number of tracks to recommend (10 is the default). If you reduce this number, then you will use less data.

In general, MyStrands will use less than 1K per song played.

If you need to save data usage, there is an option in preferences "offline", check that box and MyStrands will not use your data connection. However, you will also not get any recommendations, tags or community information.

Happy Stranding!
