Notes on using the MyStrands Napster Feature
The Napster full-play feature, (for now available in the US, only), may require some changes in your browser settings in order to work properly. In particular, you
must allow both pop-up windows and cookies for the site,
www.napster.com. Incorrect settings may make it appear that nothing
at all is happening when you try to use the Napster feature of
MyStrands.
Please see the relevant sections below if you are having trouble with
the Napster links.
Internet Explorer on Windows
In the Tools toolbar menu, point to Pop-up Blocker, and then click
Pop-up Blocker Settings. Type www.napster.com in the
Address of Web site to allow box, and then click Add. Click the Close
button to exit.
In the Tools toolbar menu, select Internet Options..., and go to the
privacy tab. Make sure that the slider is not set to "Block All Cookies".
Users with advanced configurations will have to make sure that 3rd
party cookies are allowed.
Firefox on Windows
In the Tools toolbar menu, select Options..., and go to the Content
Section. If Block Popup Windows is checked, click the Allowed Sites
button. In the Address of website box, enter www.napster.com
and click the Allow button.
Now go to the Privacy Section and from there, the Cookies tab. Make
sure there's a check mark for Allow sites to set Cookies.
Safari on Mac
From the Safari toolbar menu, select Preferences..., and go to the Security
Section. Make sure Block pop-up windows is not checked, and that
Accept Cookies is set to Always.
Firefox on Mac
From the Firefox toolbar menu, select Preferences..., and go to the Content
Section. If Block Popup Windows is checked, click the Allowed Sites
button. In the Address of website box, enter www.napster.com
and click the Allow button.
Now go to the Privacy Section and from there, the Cookies tab. Make
sure there's a check mark for Allow sites to set Cookies.
Google Toolbar, Yahoo! Toolbar, Other Popup Blockers
Make sure no other browser applications or plug-ins, such as the
Google or Yahoo! Toolbars, are blocking pop-up windows. Either turn off
pop-up blocking altogether in these applications, or find the
appropriate option to add www.napster.com to the list of web
sites allowed to pop up windows.
