Sales Support Specialist - Corvallis, Portland, or San Francisco
Sales Technical Support plays a critical role in our company's success, responding to the technical needs of our customers and internal sales teams. We're a technology group that interacts extensively with retailers, direct sales, product management and engineering. We provide technical support for all Strands Business Solutions products and internal workflow applications, and work collaboratively with all Strands sales channels to improve systems performance and quickly resolve support needs.
As a Sales Support Specialist at Strands you will troubleshoot bugs, escalate issues with key engineering teams and engage with customers, partners and support teams to resolve complex issues. You bring a proven record of analytical problem-solving and the ability to proactively identify and resolve a wide range of customer and sales issues. This role provides substantial opportunities to contribute to Strands' growth and success while gaining valuable experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide superior product support and build successful long-term relationships with both internal and external clients.
- Troubleshoot, escalate and respond to product support requests from advertisers and sales teams.
- Communicate effectively with Engineering and other technical groups to enhance products and resolve customer issues.
- Ensure the prompt resolution of technical challenges.
Requirements
- BS degree, preferably in computer science.
- At least 4 years of experience working with business systems in technical / workflow support, QA, or as an analyst.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with ecommerce and recommendations products is preferred.
- Experience with databases and scripting languages is preferred.
- Strong familiarity or development experience with Internet technologies is preferred.
Marketing Director - Washington DC
Strands is looking for a Marketing Director that understands the power of discovery and social connections. This position will be a talented senior marketer to help us develop and execute our plans for reaching social media users on a national scale.
You will work to develop and execute marketing plans to attract social media consumers. Identify and cultivate groups of future users. You will be working with international subsidiaries and with key groups across Strands to develop/manage programs and measure their impact. You will be highly visible through presenting plans to executive audiences across Strands; conducting checkpoints and business reviews.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute marketing campaigns (viral campaigns, contests, competitions, events...) to attract users to strands.com and music.strands.com
- Develop third-party alliances to achieve business goals.
Requirements
- BS or BA in Business or Marketing.
- 7-10 years marketing experience in social media.

Strands is looking for an enthusiastic and driven People Operations Manager who excels at fostering a fun and results driven culture. This position requires a take-charge individual who is ready to take the ball and manage all aspects of the human resource operations at multiple locations.
Responsibilities
- Proactively assess needs and implement tactical and strategic HR solutions in a changing environment.
- Provide guidance with organizational effectiveness, change management and conflict resolution.
- Drive the effective delivery of HR programs - pay review, bonus, stock options, systems development, talent reviews and employee/leader development.
- Manage employee relations, recruiting, compensation, and benefits
- Develop and maintain strong partnerships with the group’s leadership and engineering teams.
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years experience of progressive human resources experience, strong communications skills with tolerance for ambiguity.
- Ability to regularly travel to US and Spain locations.
