Design/Development
System Administrator
Strands is looking for a Senior Systems Administrator with excellent knowledge and communication skills. You place a high value on secure, highly available, fault-tolerant systems. You enthusiastically work on troubleshooting efforts and work to prevent them.
As a member of our Technical Operations team, you will participate in design decisions and help create the company's core high-volume systems and network infrastructure. You will be expected to come up to speed quickly on difficult problems, to become a significant contributor to a hard-working team, and to take pride in your work. We have high expectations and are looking for seasoned professionals with experience in a wide range of areas.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years experience with UNIX/Linux administration
- Significant experience with complex networking including architecture and detailed understanding of all levels of OSI stack
- Significant training and experience in computer security practices
- Extensive experience building, supporting, and troubleshooting multi-tier, high-volume, production web installations
- Build system automation design
- Advanced programming skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- 7x24x365 support rotation
Plus Requirements
- Advanced Storage Architecture experience
- Experience running BGP
- Experience providing streaming media direct to consumers
- CISSP or similar
- BA/BS or better in Computer Science or a related field

Senior Sales Manager - Madrid
Senior Sales Manager EU plays a critical role in our company's success, responding to the technical needs of our customers and internal sales teams. We're a technology group that interacts extensively with retailers, direct sales, product management and engineering. We provide technical support for all Strands Business Solutions products and internal workflow applications, and work collaboratively with all Strands sales channels to improve systems performance and quickly resolve support needs.
As a Senior Sales Manager EU at Strands you will troubleshoot bugs, escalate issues with key engineering teams and engage with customers, partners and support teams to resolve complex issues. You bring a proven record of analytical problem-solving and the ability to proactively identify and resolve a wide range of customer and sales issues. This role provides substantial opportunities to contribute to Strands* growth and success while gaining valuable experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide superior product support and build successful long-term relationships with both internal and external clients.
- Identifying new business oportunites.
- Troubleshoot, escalate and respond to product support requests from advertisers and sales teams.

Requirements

- Experience with databases and scripting languages is preferred.
- Strong familiarity or development experience with internet technologies is preferred.

The suitable candidate for this position will have a degree in a relevant field such as computer science or other relevant discipline. Our global business environment requires fluent spoken and written English.
Qualifications
- Degree in computer science or other relevant field
- Experience with web technologies such as JavaScript, xHTML and CSS
- Experience with Flash Lite and Action Script
- Experience with mobile Widget development
- Track record in cross-platform and cross-browser development for mobile browsers
- Knowledge of mobile device specifications such as typical screen sizes, functionality, etc.
- Experience with the iPhone Web SDK is considered a plus
- Ability to take ownership
- Initiative, reliable and responsible with attention to details
- Good verbal/written communication skills in English
